A dynamic and results driven UX/UIÂ Designer, outdoor enthusiast, and creative thinker fueled by a passion for creating purposeful and delightful user experiences.
For the past 10 years, I've navigated diverse industries such as retail management, hospitality, startups and most recently, as a freelance web design working on a wide array of projects. From this, I've proven my versatility and adaptability as an independent problem solver and a collaborative team member.
My journey into UXÂ design a few years after graduating with the University of Washington. Despite having a degree in Political Science, I found myself presented with opportunities in food and beverage operations. Feeling lost with what the future holds for me, I enrolled in a coding bootcamp through General Assembly.
I enjoyed coding and the challenges that came with it but soon realized it wasn't my passion. Plus, interacting with customers on the daily got me thinking if there were other ways to 'make the situation' right. My lightbulb moment came when I joined a discussion while I was volunteering for the AIGA Changemaker Series and that was when I began to explore user experience design. A career where I could blend my creativity with research and technical skills to help people? Sign me up.
My enthusiasm for empathy-driven design and collaborative problem-solving can be reflected in the past work I have done. I am eager to bring my unique blend of creativity, technical skills and experience to contribute to your next project.
When I’m not working, you can find me hiking, backpacking, paddling and climbing indoors and outdoors. I have a blog that where I share my photography work and outdoor adventures in hopes to inspire other people to get outside.
